Recent satellite imagery obtained by BBC has shown possible increased Wagner PMC activity at military base in southern Belarus.
The base is 13 miles (21km) from the town of Asipovichy - around 64 miles from the capital Minsk.
Putin said the PMC could either join the Russian army, go home or go to Belarus.
