Last week was Christmas with my side of the family out of town. Next week is Christmas with my wife's side at our house. So here we are on January 1st finally getting out the tree and decorations.

New Year's Eve was spent getting Fluff an enema and cleaning up "the aftermath". We were out of town last week and our cat sitter wasn't able to give her the daily wet-food-and-miralax combo that keeps her regular so she got all backed up and uncomfortable while we were gone.

Today we are giving her a sink bath to get her nice and clean again.

This is one way to set the mood for 2023.

Well I'm back from cleaning up 14 inches of snow. And now I'm trapped under this cat for the rest of the weekend. Which is fine, really. I could use a break.
My wife is away for the night so I have more room in bed than usual. Or I would if these cats had any concept of personal space.
Well it finally happened. I finally broke down and picked up an #evercade.
All the cats love the afternoon sun.

Trying out Bureau of Investigation. I like Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective well enough, but I preferred the "knock off" Mythos Tales. So let's see what a more official take on the Arkham setting looks like.

We got this timber like two years ago, but we finally got around to building some garden bed with it.
Fluff got a haircut today! She's moderately grumpy about it (even with the gaba), but I think she's into no longer having a bunch of matted fur and she's slightly more amenable to occasional haircuts than regular brushing.

The reason we cancelled our trip is because we took a trip to the emergency vet last weekend and learned one of our cats - Fluff - has asthma so we didn't want to leave our 3 cats alone this weekend.

She's doing fine for now, though still a little grumpy about the vet trip last weekend. Not super excited to administer her asthma when she's already scared and having trouble breathing.
