Every hackspace has:
- a bunch of queers that are all poly and half of them are sleeping together
- some old men there for the woodworking.
- some old linux users with strong opinioms on linux (that u disagree with)

Dieses Video von Oslo #Pride geht mir gerade sehr nahe, weil es genau die Gründe zeigt, warum ich als cis-hetero Mann in der Öffentlichkeit immer gut sichtbar Regenbogen-Pins/Buttons trage.

Ich will einfach, dass queere Menschen sich in meiner Nähe sicher fühlen. Dass sie sich nicht verstellen müssen und einfach sie selbst sein können. Auch wenn vor ihnen ein Typ wie ich mit Resting Bitchface sitzt.

I was a Maine rehabber for over 20 years. I remember the first owl. She was very young. I called our vet after I got her home to see when I could bring her in. He said " I hope you have heavy gloves". I was like, ah, no, she and I are just sitting here on the tailgate of the truck. I could feel his head shaking through the phone lol.

@debrashannon @overholt @metafilter I wish I remembered what I had done in a similar situation. I was in grad school; a girl I knew had injured her foot and couldn't drive her standard transmission. She called me and said a baby great horned owl had fallen onto her deck, and would I drive it to wildlife rehab. I got there; her cat was looking at the bird like WTF is this, and the owl was looking back like "don't even think about it." I think somehow we got the owl into a box...
