Oh wow, photos of the damage from the M7.0 earthquake in Alaska (originally Yukon Geological Survey on FB, via Dan Shugar). #earthquake #Alaska #landslide
@jesse hey Jesse, you may recognize me from a few prs I've pushed to superpowers. It's been a massive improvement to my development with llms and I'm quite enjoying it. I'm particularly interested in helping out more. I'm also East Bay based, and I'd love to meet up to learn about your thoughts on superpowers going forward and generally how we might collaborate. Would you have time to meet up for coffee in the next week or so?
@nazhamid and yeah obviously going north would be great. I might still go that way and fly down. In a perfect world I like over landing everywhere. It's very fun that way.
@nazhamid this is perfect. Thank you so much! I think the only thing missing from the list that I'd be interested in, if you have a place, is old school morning dim sum?
@nazhamid @skinnylatte I feel like I should tag you too. I'm shameless
@nazhamid have you published any of your recommendations in and around KL in a concise place? Or should I just start trawling your history? I'm going for the first time in about a decade

@alda As a nuclear engineer, I have never been asked to show my portfolio of reactor designs I maintain in my free time, I have never been asked to derive the six-factor formula, the quantization of angular momentum, Brehmsstrahlung, or to whiteboard gas centrifuge isotopic separation, water hammer, hydrogen detonation, or cross-section resonance integrals.

There's something deeply wrong with an industry that presumes you're a fraud unless repeatedly and performatively demonstrated otherwise and treats the hiring process as a demented form of 80s-era fraternity hazing.

So they can save their billionaires a few bucks each, Alberta is making poor people pay for their own vaccines. They clearly haven't figured out how this is supposed to work. Fewer sick poor people means more people working for rich people and fewer sick rich people getting infected by sick poor people forced to work.

They got so greedy and stupid and they can't see the forest for the trees.
