CATU Waterford Statement on Horrific Mount Suir Incident:

When I first watched War Games (1983) I thought "wow, so weird, not only they had terrible password management, but their test 'AI' system was directly linked to the prod".

Ha-ha.

@gnoll110 I know that's a common attitude but in effect, kids who are honest get harmed by their computer. The operating system of a computer should never be designed to purposely harm you. I don't think that's the case anymore with Linux if this nonsense becomes a reality.
I'm not seeing many talk about this but it should be. A bill has been proposed in India that would take away our right to self determination and erases many groups like trans-men. I've made a post on the bill and its issue. If your in India. Please make sure your voice is heard. The bill being heard on the 23rd of march. We can't let them pass it

@ireneista to a young, isolated closeted trans queer in rural mormon Utah in the 90s, with no queer elders, no physical transportation, no money, no hope of community... the internet was it. That was literally it. All the possible ways I had to interact physically with the humans around me invariably involved religion and queer hate. So perhaps that's why it all feels so deeply personal to see it attacked.

The art of Pysanky: traditional egg decorating from Europe

Am helping a friend rent a place in the UK, by being a guarantor.

It's a 700 pound/month place, and they want my employer, my place-of-living for the last three years, access to my bank, contacting my employer...

I think they'll want a scan of my passport too, and probably utility bills, so that's fun.

Regardless, I don't want to give them my deadname. This'll be fun.

It's excessive. I did not know renting in the UK is so bad. I feel really sorry.
Hard to believe that's at all legal. :/
