Blind Texas man on the internet. Used to be @misterkrabs and before that @misterkrabs
Life out in the country with no one for miles and miles, and infrequent contact with the outside world to the point where I haven't known who the president was since 1997 or whatever seems more and more appetizing by the day.
Man... Every time I go out of town my NVDA remote connection dies. What a shame.

Highlight of today's conversation with AT&T

Me: "we currently have an internet service with you, but I'm calling about a different service."

Them: "ok, do you have it with you now?"

Me: "have what?"

Them: "the internet service."

Me: "I have the account number yes."

Them: "No, not the account number, the internet."

Me: "Do I have the internet with me now?"

Them: "yes."

Me: "I don't understand."

Them, frustrated: "Can you physically touch the internet right now?"

Me: "What?"

Lmao.

AI has potential... To get you punched. Boli magane is a cuss word in Kannada.
OH BOY!
I can't wait to see the infosec analysis and iFixit teardowns of the Trump Mobile T1, if they ever get that far. Should be fascinating. Also, ya know, incredibly terrifying...
The fact that in the past 30 days, *.doubleclick.net was tried to be accessed 109,496 times, *.LGSmartAd.com 71,081 times, *.GStatic.com 65,466 times, and app-measurement.com 17,539 times, speaks volumes about the amount of ads our devices gobble up each day. When I look at DNS stats and zoom into these I'm a bit shocked to see it, because these all happen during the background too, like the TV trying to push the Smart AD domain. Then there's device-metrics-us.amazon.com, somethinng my echos tried to reach 13,620 times, a relatively low number, but they appear to ping home every half hour without your knowledge, just silently. I've become hyper-aware of the traffic flowing in and out of my network now, and this is why using a 3rd-party DNS (or rolling your own, if you're into that sort of thing) is super crucial.
This morning I went for a poo and read Charlotte's Web from start to finish; I could hardly stand afterwards and the imprint of the bog seat lasted all day on my arse.
