Why should anyone give money to an organization that's - knowingly - had terrorists on their payroll?

Clear the terrorists first, fire those responsible for hiring them, and then we talk.

Or, how about more sensible - end UNRWA, move responsibility to UNHCR, and have one and only one definition for refugees at the UN?

During an interview with Danny Dayan, the host compared Israel's treatment of Gaza residents to what happened in the Holocaust. At the end of the interview, the network issued an apology.

I've updated the video of my grandmother recounting her experience growing up and escaping from Germany in the early 1900s. There is more to the story, which one day I'll finish up.

Today I've added subtitles to make it easier to understand her German, little-old-lady accent. (Which I miss.)

It is still unbelievable to me that I exist because of one word "Yes" that my grandfather uttered. Without that little word, a lie, 23 people would have blinked out of existance.

And what's harrowing is how she described how progressive Germany was and how things deteriorated. How's it go: Those who do not know their history is destined to repeat it. #NeverAgain

Having read in moderate detail the full judgement by the ICJ, I have the following initial conclusions:

- South Africa's allegations construe a blood libel, are based on scarce evidence and include gross insinuations, even to the extent that Israel might be intentionally preventing the birth of new Palestinians in Gaza.
- The ruling does not confirm or reject these allegations. It simply accepts that SA has a right to make them.
- The scant evidence that backs up SA's claims includes quotes from government ministers and officials not directly involved in the war effort. In any case, some of these statements were unacceptable and have been condemned in and outside Israel. Had they not been made, maybe none of this would have come about. (Cont...)

US “extremely troubled by the allegations that twelve UNRWA employees may have been involved in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. The Department of State has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA while we review these allegations and the steps the United Nations is taking to address them.”
