b) delete your Tweets, because their existence doesn’t help Elon and it’s like burning the Library of Alexandria.
Twitter captures a real-time historical record of a couple of decades and the billions of individuals’ snapshots are irreplaceable.
The thought of all those tweets being erased makes me feel physically sick.

@feditips Hi, do you know if there's any way to do advanced hashtag searches? For example for if I search for #apple I will get results for a bunch of other hashtags instead, like #applecar, #applebees, etc. Is there any way to tell the search engine I specifically want "#apple"? Thank you!

If you go to https://spacekaren.sucks it is now a URL shortener that blocks the twitter user agent. That means you can share that link that will redirect to your Mastodon account without the pouty baby stopping you. Dan GillmorI don't think journalists (in general) -- and certainly not the organizations they work for -- fully understand the threat Musk represents to the future of free expression and journalism itself.
Begging him to reinstate the banned accounts is pure folly. It is bended-knee supplication to a sociopath who now controls a powerful media company. But the power of his company depends in no small degree on keeping journalists there.
