Ano passado (também conhecido como 2024) orientei uma dissertação no Programa de Pós Graduação em Estudos Marítimos da Escola de Guerra Naval (PPGEM/EGN) que foi premiada em 1o lugar na área de humanas pelo Ministério da Defesa.

@ChrisHolladay @GottaLaff Actually, second-world-countries is an expression used to refer to the communist nations allied to the USSR during the Cold War (the members of the Warsaw Treaty Organization). Brazil was a third-world country (as we were not directly involved in The Cold War, but this terminology is no longer used). Developing countries is a much more acceptable term, as you can provide broader classification and different stages of development. Glad to help :)
