Daylight Savings ... "because it confuses things"
by Stephen Collins
Saw #ProjectHailMary tonight and loved everything about it. I loved how faithfully they have adapted the source material, I loved Ryan Goslingβs performance, I loved the puppetry work on Rocky, and I loved how much my 13-year old son was totally enthralled by it all.
It also gets my vote for best-ever-use-of-an-original-Beatles-song-in-a-film.
The film has so much charm. Highly, highly recommended.

I keep seeing versions of this post, which imply a bizarre misunderstanding of how we know the world.
Do people imagine that if we'd never observed galaxies or neutrinos or exoplanets or the cosmic microwave background, we could have *imagined* these things & that would be just as real?
Or that we've magically reached the point, just now, where we no longer need to observe the world?
