Much like cis people and transness or straight people and gayness, thin people often lack the knowledge, experience, understanding, tact, or sensitivity to lead or engage with discussions around weight and fatness w/ nuance, accuracy, and care. Taking a step back to listen and consider that you don't know what you don't know and appreciate with an open mind and heart when people larger than you take the time to share their perspectives and experiences can do wonders!

There are folks establishing hiding places in Uganda. They need funds to support those in hiding. They can't get the funds directly because their organizations are outlawed, so we're passing the hat.
Those in hiding who are HIV+ cannot collect their antiretrovirals. They have to be bought, which is a lot of money.
