Giving Artix Linux a go, and decided to rework my Arch Linux installer script to work with Artix instead.

people don't realize this, but this is how they infect a good product and build surveillance network. today it is age verification for OS, tomorrow they will come with sex verification to target LGBQT+ groups or country verification to target minorities or immgirations, etc.

Meta, the evil corp who is behind this, wants everything trackable, starting with your age &d id verification, KYC, & whatnot. it is my computer, & i am not going to be tracked. it is the same reason you use an adblocker

the pressure from social media worked. In systemd, age verification has finally been reverted and removed for good. Linux is always for privacy conscious users, it isn't just another Microslop SlopOS https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/41179 thanks @reddy_1975 for the heads up!

EDIT: they rejected the PR. So keep fight on! systemd folks are cowards and enabling this mess.

Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.

WATCH LIVE: Trump, Zeldin to announce end of scientific basis for U.S. action on climate change

The Trump administration on Thursday will revoke a scientific finding that long has been the central basis for U.S. action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change, the White House announced.

A lot of people in the comment section for Firefox mentioned a new browser currently under development called Ladybird. I checked its repository, and it says: 'Ladybird is in a pre-alpha state and only suitable for use by developers.'

PS: I don't know much about the devs or team behind it but they already seems to have a big sponsors like Cloudflare https://ladybird.org/

For a long time, Mozilla has mismanaged Firefox while its CEO and other C-suites have taken massive salaries. Yesterday’s news must have hit them hard, as social media users expressed their anger toward turning Firefox into an "AI browser." But here is the thing, they are not going to back down (at least that is what I think). These executives don't understand open source or who their users actually are. It is still not too late for Mozilla to stop this madness and return to its roots.

LibreWolf is another option. It is a custom version of Firefox, focused on privacy, security and freedom with all bad bits (like LLM/AI, No trackers/telemetry, enhanced privacy etc) removed.

As there seems to have been recent confusion about this, just a quick "official" toot to then pin: we haven't and won't support "generative AI" related stuff in LibreWolf. If you see some features like that (like Perplexity search recently, or the link preview feature now) it is solely because it "slipped through". As soon as we become aware of something like this / it gets reported to us, we will remove/disable it ASAP.

Screw it, I’m installing Linux

Frustrated Windows users are switching to Linux because of Microsoft’s Windows 11 daily shenanigans? No way. Nobody saw that coming 🤣

Screw it, I’m installing Linux

Windows is getting worse, while gaming on Linux is getting better. I’m gonna move my desktop to CachyOS. Wish me luck.
