A question for the #Linux community!
Dear fellow Linux users,
A friend of mine is looking for a new Linux distribution. His criteria are:
- #Arch
- Independent developers (i.e., a developer community, not a development company)
- #runit or #SysVinit instead of #SystemD
If the developers are explicitly committed to data protection and user privacy, that’s definitely a plus.
He’s currently considering #Artix Linux—what are your suggestions and ideas?
Thanks!

Eine Frage an die #Linux Community!
Liebe Mit-Linuxer,
ein Freund ist auf der Suche nach einer neuen Linux-Distribution. Seine Kriterien sind:
- #Arch
- unabhängige Entwickler (also Enwickler-Community, keine Entwickler-Firma)
Danke!
So. After deleting and rebuilding my `ESP`partition I don't even know how many times and trying out so many different ways of setting up either #rEFind or #GRUB and messing with the `mkinitcpio.d/linux.preset` files, I finally got my original #Arch partition and new #Artix partition booting.
I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to segregate the Arch and Artix boot loaders and initramfs. But since they appear to be the same, both being Arch under the hood...
