Took the GRE yesterday...
I'm excited to re-enter academia and know the native vocabulary is exceptional...
But if you're flummoxed by platitudes of academics as stodgy erudite pontificators go surfeit yourself on GRE vocab lists.
Though to grok that you likely have...

@lcsn_musings thanks for the follow! Let me know what you want to learn about in the intersection of #leadership #collaboration & #technology
Just got my #brandonsanderson signed Lost Metal in the mail! Sad I couldn't be at #Dragonsteelcon but maybe next year! Now to have the self control so I don't drop everything else to read...

In life if you're "making bad grades" you have three change options: your output, your "classes", or the grading scale

Some will tell you what each of these should be, but reality is that you own them all

I've chosen a "grading scale" I believe in, what's yours?

If you're an #academic studying complex collaboration (multiteam, networked and non-hierarchical, interorganizational, group dynamics, etc.) I'd love to talk. Currently looking at doing the deep dive and joining #academia to study the psychology of it.
Anyone know of a podcast that talks about leadership of truly collaborative efforts (like #fedivers ). If I were to make such a podcast interviewing practitioners and #academics of collaborative leadership, who would listen? Who would you want to hear from?

On days when I get concerned for humanity because of the stupid stuff we do to each other.... I have to remind myself that history has committed much worse atrocities and we're still here... Right?

#optimism ?

As per usual: folding clothes late into the night...

Any innovations to solve this? How close are we to sustainable, single use, biodegradable clothes?

Or (fashionable) self cleaning jumpsuits that you wear every day?

Clothes folding robots?

When you see 8 guys all leaf blowing the same lawn... you start to wonder if you're in a simulation that glitches out every so often, or if you just don't understand the fundamental economics of lawn care businesses.

Devs are notoriously good at ignoring bugs (even on others' sites). Hot take: we should stop trying to fix bugs and start trying to fix users to be more like devs ;P
But seriously, I think there's a troubleshooting mentality that could be better proliferated
