@jaredwhite What version of PeerTube you run for a while I also had issue but it was cause after upgradin to 6.0 the key broken and federation had issues.

@vkc Probably the most problematic thing is transfering video files from one server to another it could cost bandwitch though having ability to redirect user like in mastodon would be cool.

@Shkshkshk @nostupidquestions As an admin of my own I usually approve instances manually. Though many times at least after 6.0 update many instances might have missing public/private keys preventing correct federation.

@vkc Pro tip about to improve discovery. If you let other instance to let federate with yours it helps discovery of videos.

@brianary That's why it's always good to self host yourself. It's not always good idea to always join biggest instance. Cool thing of PeerTube is that you can follow channels from external instances :)
