In case you haven't heard, Red Hat is laying off people today, and I'm one of them. My 'career' as a Hatter lasted just over 15 months, much less time than I had planned or expected.
Many of you know me well, and know that I have extensive background in open source software, project management, open source business, and lots of related activities. If you're aware of any opportunities which may be of interest, feel free to send them my way via any channel you like.
Boosts much appreciated, of course, and thanks in advance!
How do we decide what a "true threat" is when we have no cultural consensus on what a "reasonable person" is?

i definitely feel like the usage of groups has fallen since following hashtags became an option which is a shame as hashtags don't federate so it doesn't actually meaningfully extend reach. So here's some groups that exist!
...since i mainly follow the writing related ones, those are most of what i've got.
(i may or may not have summoned some of these into existence myself
)
following is a list of groups:
@darkromance
@gayromance
@hopepunk
@indiewriters
@amwriting
@writers
@writingcommunity
@nanowrimo
@lesfic
@mmromance
@poetry
and some non-writing groups:
@knitting
@fiberarts
@3goodthings

@spreadmastodon @fediversenews I’m seeing more and more posts about the rapid growth of dot social (about 4000 a day according to @mastodon_daily_active_users )
I’m more convinced that what’s needed is a crèche instance for people who don’t want to choose. A highly moderated, deliberately short term home with maybe mentoring or guidance to follow people and find a long term home.

Made a much better switch (sroll) between third- and firstperson view!
Zoom in and out with mouse (later also touch)
Later on both FP and TP views can be used for all kinds of things
Sorry, but you can't convince me that the test of a reusable rocket system is supposed to involve destroying the launch site—which was reusable on every prior generation of space flight technology—and launching debris thousands of feet away.
#SpaceX is not a serious company, it's a clown show, and it should not have a single dollar in government funding, much less billions.
Do it.

Here's a real-world problem the Linux desktop can actually help solve.
It took the repairability movement longer than we hoped but it's here now, and we have that image-based model for distros.
We can provide a chromebook-like experience but with way more options, flexibility, and better tooling for organizations.
