@z303 some nice men turned up in the end, and they've agreed to leave Dad here with me for the GP to deal with tomorrow

@z303 I know that someone who is conscious and safe in a warm home isn't a priority even when they're 90 but it's been a long wait and we're all tired

Now if I could just get mum to come to bed so I only have 1 aged parent causing trouble that would be good

@Sarah111well making me think of a few years ago when my friend taught her daughter (who was about 12 at the time) to cycle hands free. Same weekend grandad had taught her to whistle through a blade of grass. Sadly she tried to do both at the same time, fell off the bike and impaled herself on a bit of it, ended up in A-E
