You've got to love Glasgow: We had a little bit of unexpected snow today, most of which was gone within an hour, but in that brief time, all across the city, countless snowballs were thrown, numerous snowmen appeared and in Kelvingrove Park a few sledges were even sledged!

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow this afternoon looking like a portal to sunnier climes. This perfectly sums up how changeable the weather has been here today!

So far this morning, here in Glasgow, we've had rain, wind, hail, really heavy snow, and now we're back to sunshine (for the moment at any rate). Welcome to spring in Scotland!

Happy Easter from a rather snowy Glasgow!

That's me all set up for the day with my pop-up stall in the St Enoch Centre. As well as the debut of my rather beautiful recycled metal pin badges, I've got copies of Glasgow Uncovered, mounted photos, greetings cards and fridge magnets. If you're in town, drop by and say hi. It's by the lifts near Hamleys.

The Crowne Plaza hotel on the banks of the Clyde in Glasgow as the sun was going down this evening. I'm not a particular fan of this building, but it does reflect the sky rather nicely.

Good morning, Glasgow. What a way to start the last day before the Easter weekend! Fingers-crossed the weather stays this way for the next few days.

In January 1914, the Kibble Palace was targetted by members of Women's Social and Political Union, who had their Scottish headquarters at 141 Bath Street in the city centre, as part of their campaign for the right of women to be able to vote. Two bombs were planted, one of which exploded, shattering a number of panes of glass and injurying a member of staff.

Created by John Kibble, the Kibble Palace was originally built at Coulport on the shores of Loch Long in the 1860s before being taken apart, moved to Glasgow and re-built at its current location in the 1870s.
