The Crowne Plaza hotel on the banks of the Clyde in Glasgow as the sun was going down this evening. I'm not a particular fan of this building, but it does reflect the sky rather nicely.

Good morning, Glasgow. What a way to start the last day before the Easter weekend! Fingers-crossed the weather stays this way for the next few days.

In January 1914, the Kibble Palace was targetted by members of Women's Social and Political Union, who had their Scottish headquarters at 141 Bath Street in the city centre, as part of their campaign for the right of women to be able to vote. Two bombs were planted, one of which exploded, shattering a number of panes of glass and injurying a member of staff.

Dafodills in front of the Kibble Palace Glasshouse in Glasgow's Botanic Garden.

Created by John Kibble, the Kibble Palace was originally built at Coulport on the shores of Loch Long in the 1860s before being taken apart, moved to Glasgow and re-built at its current location in the 1870s.

Signs at 103 Trongate in Glasgow protesting the potential closure of this important arts and creativity centre. If you're interested, there's still time to sign the petiton (here: https://www.change.org/p/save-trongate103-from-closure), and write to you local councillor about it.

Despite all the faff associated with the clocks going forward this weekend, it is nice to still have light in the sky at 8:15pm. Whether I'll still feel that way tomorrow morning is another matter entirely!

Love the new public space which has been created at the historic Govan Graving Docks in Glasgow. For me, it has just the right mix of old and new to maintain its links with the past while still giving it a modern feel.

Accidental impressionism created by today's rain on my windscreen as I waited for it to stop before taking my dog for her afternoon walk here in Glasgow.

This morning's big run around the city had it all: Sunshine, wind, rain, rainbows, and even a brief flurry of snow at the end - Welcome to spring in Glasgow!

This was a rainbow rising up from the distinctive open crown spire of John James Stevenson's 1898 Scottish gothic style church on Belmont Street in Kelvinbridge as seen from the Forth and Clyde canal near the Hamiltonhill Claypits Nature Reserve.
