Not all #mastodon users are daily posters, lets see usage when interesting events occur
Content creator's are vital, #journalists and #newspapers are making plans to at least have a #mastodon presence, this would give future waves of #mastodonmigration better content
I predict some #mastodon instances will become more commercial, with better onboarding, gui and cloud capacity lined up for growth
I can see government's and organizations using #mastodon as a place of record, with mainly one way instances pushing out information

On the Overland train to Adelaide. So much better than the Sydney Melbourne XPT. We have a good seat with a clean window, the XPT windows were filthy. Slow at times getting through junctions but top speed so far 117km/h - fast for an Australian train. Comfortable old locomotive drawn carriages reminding me of the golden age of train travel. Well, the 1960s at least! Thoroughly enjoying the trip.

It's fascinating how completely Elon Musk has stepped into Trump's old role on Twitter. It's not just that he's the most referenced and discussed character, but that he is held up as the paragon of power, cleverness, and manhood by his rather dim fans, while being university made fun of as thin-skinned, impulsive, and rather dim himself by everyone else, all while he seems entirely lacking in self-awareness or, really, dignity. He's basically Trump's social media twin.

Last Friday, I was reimbursed for unpaid wages for sessional work done at the University of Melbourne about five years ago. It was part of their $22 million wage-theft settlement to 15,000 causals like me. Would not have happened without union intervention.

Today ABC staff will vote NO on an offer from management, which leaves pay going backwards thousand of dollars, and doesn’t address major issues with pay equality, progression and predictability. Nearly everything staff put to the ABC in negotiations was rejected. #DontDiscountABC #union #journalism
