Is it tech’s responsibility to limit or manage human screen time?

While I have seen #applevisionpro backlash in scenarios with family, active family time should still be enforced by humans, not tech.

No phones during dinner time, no reading books during dinner time, no homework on the dinner table— dinner time is a time to connect without any distractions.

This I feel is a human problem. To not make tech itself engaging, is like making candy not sweet.

#TwitterMigration For those who are still on Twitter & Mastodon, you can use AppleShortcuts to automate posting both on platforms. You do not need to pay a $3 app to do this. Here’s a version I made in one minute for free: https://is.gd/MNnaND

Going to do an #introduction post as it's the thing we all seem to be doing.

"To help some of the newcomers make connections: name 5-7 things that interest you but aren't in your profile, as tags so they are searchable. Then boost this post or repeat its instructions so others know to do the same."

Here are mine:

'Don't forget to boost good posts with hashtags so searchable posts make it out to more instances!'

Twitter was a nice place for nerds to make jokes and post links to their new papers, can we make this that, without the other stuff?
Sometimes, what leadership is:
I kind of find it charming that a ‘tweet’ here is a called ‘toot’ #twittermigration
There is definitely a learning curve with Mastodon. While I wish I had more control on the algorithm back at Twitter, I also wished there was some sort of curation for the onboarding experience.
