“Owner of ‘America’s Team’ part of famous mob of white bigots that sought to preserve racial segregation” is the kind of headline with a super-brief initial taste of ‘WTF’ but with an after-taste of “Ya that seems exactly right.”
Feels appropriate that the Cowboys play every year on Thanksgiving I guess. Can’t wait for zero commentary on #JerryJones participating in one of the most infamous moments of American racism ever, with lots of cuts to him celebrating touchdowns in his box seats instead.

Sigd (ሰግድ, ‘Prostration’, Hebrew: סיגד‎, also romanized Sig’d), or Mehlella (Ge’ez: ምህልላ, lit. ‘Supplication’), also Amata Saww (ዐመተ ሰወ, ‘Grouping Day’) is one of the unique holidays of the Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jewish) community, and is celebrated on the 29th of the Hebrew month of Marḥeshvan. Previously, Sigd was celebrated on the 29th of Kislev, and after a calendar reform in mid-19th century it was moved to its present day, 50 days after Yom Kippur.
