Child #3, away at college, goes to CVS and buys #chametz. Yesterday. Using my credit card. 🤦 I find this out when I get the email receipt from CVS.
Normally I pay for his food at college.
There's a lot of #halacha I'm not so strict about, but not #Pesach.
"I need you to not be buying chametz with my credit card on Pesach," I tell him. He apologizes.
"I am taking that out of the money I owe you, because I can't be owning chametz on Pesach."
He agrees.

Hello fellow #Pesach #Passover celebrators. I'm going to let those of you who go all-out to make your house kosher for Passover in on a little secret that I wish someone had told me decades ago when I was a young frummie:
"Invisible chametz" only matters on surfaces that are going to touch food during the holiday.

I suppose I’ve got to be glad they didn’t make this ai homunculus look and sound like me?!
Anyway, that’s a real quote, and I did say it, but only in private. Then I wrote it down, and it was translated and published in German, in the program notes for a recital of music by Jewish composers.
So, yes, technically speaking, they are right, I said that. But the fact that this is true is pure luck for them!
Jewish history is full of suffering and terrible sorrow. But it is also full of immeasurable joy....
Last night, I sang from Letters to Fred by Bracha Bdil. Thanks to Staatstheater Darmstadt for supporting this epic 40 minute song cycle, and for the opportunity to tell Fred’s story. I am thrilled to announce that I will be singing the full work next season at Theater Hagen, thanks to new Intendant Søren Schuhmacher, our former Operndirektor in Darmstadt!
