if you put a webserver up on the internet. anywhere, hosting anything, you will see "the background radiation of the internet", and it looks like this:
The real #Y2K bug is how people of my generation still feel like the #1980s were twenty years ago.

Welp, so long, PBS and NPR.

Native American radio stations at risk as Congress looks to cut $1B in public broadcasting funding

it will be set up at CuriousMarc's booth.

Funding cuts to PBS and NPR, attempts to stop the Wall Street Journal from publishing, Colbert canceled.

#NowPlaying an 8-track tape of Isaac Hayes' SHAFT on a shagpile carpet, which, quite frankly, could benefit from a bit of Shake n' Vac.
If you get any more 1970s than this you risk exploding and spoiling the fondue.
@Richard_Littler Outta sight, man. I can dig it.
@Richard_Littler TIL shag pile carpets played 8-track

OMG MY DAD HAD THIS!

we played it all the time in his yellow Chevrolet’s 8-track player because we didn’t have one in the house. those were the days you’d go into the car to listen to music.

@Richard_Littler

@Richard_Littler We used to ride around Detroit in my friend Kass's Grand Prix listening to that. Cafe Regios brings that summer back.
@Richard_Littler All these hipsters and their vinyl and cassettes. Let's bring back 8-tracks!

@Richard_Littler Carpet should be some weird orange brown color.

I'm always amazed at any 8-track that is still alive. I can only assume they were very rarely played and only in the most pristine player :p
