I love retro computers and just got a "new" one. But seeing this beast of a CRT take up so much desk space makes me appreciate LCDs.
Less risk of throwing your back out when moving an LCD around.

I haven't posted anything in ages, but I'm still working on this #editor thing, which started out as a way to experiment with learning #rustlang
We're actually using it on a daily basis in our newest title, but as a test, I decided to just see what it felt like to recreate the first stage of SMB1:
Was planning on doing more #gamedev today but very suddenly got my first ocular migraine in years.
I had forgotten how absolutely fucking terrifying I find them.
Got derailed for a few months, but finally back and working on #gamedev stuff. Currently back on my editor written in #rustlang which has gone from "weird experiment" to "editor for our current title"
Added object templates and objects, which ended up being a fairly generic construction: Define your object templates - create instances in each level.
Pretty happy with how it turned out.
@dkapnopoulos I have designed a bunch of stuff using TinkerCAD. Mostly for 3D printing, like this frame/holder for an Arduino and a bunch of relay boards.
Initially I thought of TinkerCAD as a toy, but it's surprisingly powerful!
About 4 years ago, we (Decemberborn Interactive) had a booth at Gamescom, Cologne.
We showed off our game Cathedral.
It sucked so hard from an SEO standpoint. They have an actual cathedral in Cologne. It's quite famous.
3 weeks as a parent, and I'm realizing that getting my work done in small sprints while baby sleeps is the way to go.
Finally found time to implement the next part of our editor - animated tilesets!
#gamedev tool written in #rustlang
PS. Rust is my new favorite language. I'm so sold.
