What is your favorite website/newsletter for news/resources for parents of 6-12-year-old kids? Most of the parenting resources target parents of younger kids. I want to be up to date with games, music, education, and other related stuff for the age my kid is in. English or German, please.

Eine wichtige Petition: Dabei geht es darum, dass auch Selbstständige, die über die Künstlersozialkasse in die Rentenversicherung einzahlen, neben dem Rentenbezug etwas steuerfrei dazuverdienen dürfen. Für alle, die angestellt arbeiten, ist das schon beschlossen, die oft gering verdienenden künstlerischen Selbstständigen sollen aber natürlich wieder außen vor bleiben.

So, you know the "6 degrees of separation" hypothesis that you can connect everybody to everybody else on Earth via at maximum 6 hops of people inbetween. It's a fascinating topic to look into, what this says about the network of human connections, and what kind of network have these kinds of relationship, and what you have to do raise or lower this number.

Now. #adhd, #audhd, and #autistic brains kinda have this thing for random facts. Everything you throw at us, our brain can probably relate to anything else in six completely sensical hops. And that's how the average neurodivergent conversation also works. This is how our brains love to converse, in fact. We don't "stray off topic", but it's pretty much a given that what we start with talking about will seem pretty far away pretty quickly when we're having fun talking to someone.

That's "small talk" to us, conversation that has no further use than enjoying conversing with another, for being social. We don't talk about the weather. If we do, it's an even chance that the next hop here could be fluid dynamics, chaos theory, quantum theory, thermodynamics, or any of a thousand related things, because for socializing, we love exploring the network with another person. It's a dance, taking turns, and the whole reason we do that is, in fact, the socializing of the dance, and a lot less what we're talking about.

Kennt jemensch einen Psychiater der normalsterbliche Patienten in Süddeutschland aufnimmt. Kind ist aus dem Alter der Jugendpsychiatrie raus, braucht aber Medikamente und findet seit 1,5 Jahren keine Praxis die es aufnimmt. Hausarzt darf die nicht verschreiben. Bitte um Boost #bitteboost #fedihilfe
