Doing some more "staying warm observing" with the SeeStar tonight. Moon, m63 and m101. These were processed on my phone only using android software and SeeStar software. #astrophotography 🔭
My #Seestar S50 braved the cold for me the other night, and 20 minutes on M42 had a good result. #astrophotography 🔭📷

The Flaming Star Nebula (IC 405/SH2-229) using a. #SeeStar About an hour of data. So happy to score this partial night after harsh winter weather and cold have ruined the Upstate NY skies. Great to be out there!! Amazing what this scope can pull off...

Something I've been working on is how to get contrast on open star clusters and to get the coloring to pop. I'm not quite there yet, but here is my latest attempt at NGC 7789 Carolyn's Rose. This is about 35 minutes of RGB each. SVX102T and a ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera. #astronomy #astrophotography

Some fall foliage today at the observatory cottage. I really do love this time of year! #leafpeeping
Another great night. 5th clear sky night in a row. Unheard of in this neck of the woods. #Narrowband imaging of the Bubble Nebula. Digging this project! #astrophotography 🔭

Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (c/2023 A3) This was a stack of 14x10s exposures that were shot at ISO 3200 using Canon Ra and a Sigma 14mm at f/2.8. The reservoir/damn is illuminated by moonlight, and the heavy shadows you see are from the trees to my back.

Another of my better #aurora shots from 10/10. What a great experience it was both visually and photographically. I processed this one in a much different approach.
