every so often i rewatch Tom Holland's lip sync of Umbrella to confirm there's still joy in the world

"I’m genuinely so disappointed and depressed that more of you won’t wear a mask, despite the science, despite disabled & immunocompromised people begging you. I’ll never understand risking your health & the health of others just so you can fit in. It’s so selfish and shortsighted."

🇦🇺 Australia: "Viruses that cause common infections such as COVID, RSV or the flu can also trigger heart attacks and strokes, new research warns."
"A team from the University of Melbourne and Murdoch Research Children’s Institute (MCRI) found the viral respiratory infections were linked to an increased risk of the potentially deadly heart events."
"Inflammation around the time of viral infections temporarily raises the risk of clots in vessels supplying the heart or brain."

And this illustration. It sums it up for me.
The rest of te world rather believes the "cold" lie and lets those 5 people die.
"Canadian professor Steve Wilcox has between 95 and 100% of students in his game design classes masking up with N95s after playing a simple game he designed called “The Haunted Woods.”"

Games uniquely incorporate emotional and social factors that influence how we take in information — making them surprisingly useful communication tools in a world in denial about the ongoing threats of COVID-19 and Long COVID. Whether through the cathartic storytelling in indie designers’ interactive theater projects or learning opportunities woven into popular video games, playing games can help people make informed decisions amid the Long COVID crisis.
Need a hopeful story? 22 students at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, 4 years ago, set out to "really inspire people and the market and society to accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable future. What we’re trying to do is to show people and show companies what’s already possible.”
So they made a #solarpunk campervan fully equipped with living essentials including a double bed, sofa, kitchen area and a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. It can fit two people, who can drive, cook breakfast and watch television using just the vehicle’s solar-charged battery.
Then they took it on a tour of Europe driving 1,200 miles without stopping for fuel or plugging in to charge. https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/stella-vita-solar-campervan-netherlands-spc-intl/index.html
This is a great example of the eugenics of the wellness industry.
You’re not *really* disabled: you’re temporarily inconvenienced by an impurity or contaminant, and if you are virtuous and clean enough you’ll be returned to your just place in the world.
I’ve had ME for 20+ years, BTW, and everyone with One Simple Trick believes theirs is the One True Path.
They’re all wrong.
