Self-taught in most of what I do.

"LLMs impress the writers who do not want to write, the coders who don’t want to code, the researchers who don’t want to research, and the lawyers that don’t want to actually understand case law. Those that desperately tell you how powerful AI is and that you simply must use it are looking for you to validate their own laziness or distaste for effort, and those who are impressed with LLMs’ outputs tend to be people with low standards."

This is great news. I've used TDR plugins alot, doring my Windows days.
After many years of using the internet, it would be interesting to get my hands on one of the digital profiles that have been generated about me. I have a feeling the algorithms know me better than I know myself.😒

Google Chrome silently installs a 4 GB AI model on your device https://www.thatprivacyguy.com/blog/chrome-silent-nano-install/

> No consent dialog. No opt-out UI. Re-installs itself if the user removes it manually.

That is the true definition of malware.

Google Chrome silently installs a 4 GB AI model on your device without consent. At a billion-device scale the climate costs are insane. — That Privacy Guy!

Google Chrome is downloading a 4 GB Gemini Nano model onto users' machines without consent, with no opt-in, no opt-out short of enterprise tooling, and an automatic re-download every time the user deletes it. The pattern is identical to the Anthropic Claude Desktop case I wrote about last month, but the scale is between two and three orders of magnitude larger. This article does the legal analysis and, for the first time, the environmental analysis. The numbers are not small.

An FYI to folk booking tickets online: if you notice price jumps between the first time you look and when you are ready to book, delete cache and empty cookies. The airline deleted their post a short time later because someone was being too helpful.
@NUND OMG, I'm soooo stupid. I did not enable "control" in the midi input😅
Now I can use the Learn function. Thank you again.
You made my day🥳
@NUND That's the funny part, it show up with the correct name - Midi-Bridge:KOMPLETE KONTROL M32
