Young, athletic, world-class ballerina. Got COVID three times with no problems. Her fourth infection has resulted in severe Long COVID. She went from being a rising star in the ballet world to now barely being able to "cook, grocery shop, shower." And she is stunned by the complacency she sees around her.
The article is behind a paywall, and while I hate to share IP like this, I think it's important people understand the risks we all face by pretending #COVID19 is gone. https://www.illawarramercury.com.au/story/8494576/wollongong-born-dancer-shares-her-struggle-with-long-covid/
"When you drive a massive SUV youâre saying three things: I donât care about the environment. I donât care that Iâm more likely to kill pedestrians in my car. I donât care that there isnât room for my car and others to co-habit smoothly on Londonâs streets."

What upsets me most about life in London today? The endless proliferation of âluxury flatsâ marketed abroad while ordinary Londoners canât afford to rent a basic home? Yes, that upsets me. The fact that so many young people in the capital are so utterly devoid of manners that they see nothing wrong with listening to their phones on public transport without headphones? Deeply upsetting on an existential, future-of-mankind level. How about grown men often nearly knocking me or my children over on the pavement with their giant-man-baby electric scooters? Yup. Pretty upsetting.
This pretty much tracks about Elon, no notes. #Elon #Christmas

Right wing media is again demonizing migrants and refugees for "having cell phones." Look ya'llânever take seriously those who ridicule migrants & refugees for having a smartphone or laptop.
âIf theyâre refugees how did they get an iPhone???â
Because theyâre trying to escape violence, not the 1700s, genius. If you think basic tech access is luxury, survive a month without it.
