People are now buying the Apple MacBook Neo ($599 cost) not because it's as cheap as a PC, but because they are fed up with Win11 and its obsession with Copilot. This proves once again that if you push people too far, they will choose an alternative that isn't obsessed with AI or treating paying customers as idiots in paid OS. Good stay away from that crap. AWS/Amazon just other day said they are seeing massive prod outages due to Gen AI code. We want stable Linux desktop and server. No AI. Gen AI can 2>/dev/null himself.

Today, I met with Colorado Senator Matt Ball, co-author of Colorado OS Age Attestation Bill SB26-051.

Sen. Ball suggested excluding open source software from the bill. This appears to be a real possibility.

Amendments are expected for the CA age attestation bill. It's my hope we can move fast enough to influence excluding open source in the CA bill amendments.

No illusions, it's an uphill battle, but we have an open door to advocate for the open source community.
