Some personal news! 🎉
This week I have taken on a new role at Cross Forward — the makers of Widgetsmith, Pedometer++, and other fine apps. I’m sure you all know this means I am working with Underscore David Smith and Stephen Hackett. Stephen has been working with Underscore for quite some time now,
The next Pedometer++ screen to get a 1st draft redesign is the route editor. There are several mapping based functions in the app, so finding a new general design approach is essential to getting the iOS 26 design in shape.
Thankfully this kind of screen feels like what Liquid Glass was designed for. There are many functional UI's where it feels awkward but for a visually rich screen with clear content vs controls this felt much more straightforward.

This is your periodic reminder to set up (or update) the Medical ID on your iPhone. I thought about it after my car accident last month and was surprised that it was pretty out of date.
(And tell your family. My parents had no idea it was a thing!)
Medical ID helps first responders access your critical medical information from the Lock screen, without needing your passcode. They can see information like allergies and medical conditions as well as who to contact in case of an emergency.
