I had an idea and threw together a prototype on my lunchbreak. This is a midi controller that uses the string as the Ground, and each fret as the other side of a button. Each fret is connected to a GPIO on a rpi-pico and it's sending MIDI to Reaper. Lots of improvements are needed, but as a proof of concept it works nicely!
