@bruno_j_navarro eh. There are portions of the Project 2025 ideology which come from the paranoia of the John Birch Society in the 1970s. Dismantling the Dept of Education, EPA, etc since the 90s in the Libertarian/Ron Paul space. They just got populism to fuel it after ignoring the people for 30 years.
With profound sadness, I share that we've lost our good friend and colleague Brendan McAdams (@rit ). A brilliant programmer and cherished member of our community, Brendan was a core contributor to Perl and someone who stood firmly by his principles throughout his career. Please boost so others may know his name and legacy. (1/8)
@armurray @rit im heartbroken.
@xinit @thomholwerda I donโ€™t but ask [email protected] and they may be able to help find one.
Remind me never to read the comments again. The most transphobic responses by far to my piece on the looming Utah trans bathroom ban--the awful transphobia in this country would rather prefer that we didn't exist instead of fight back against such hateful bigotry.
@flexion I administrated a few of these many, many, years ago.
Today's #mondog is more of a mortifying story time. Had camera on in Teams meeting. Dog climbs on couch behind me and starts humping a pillow for all co-workers to see.

@http_error_418 oh gosh, this takes me back. ArcSight had a thing where it could re-stamp the time with local time. It made sense for one event source that was consistently wrong. I had a customer who was lazy do this for a giant syslog server. And as we know traditional syslog doesnโ€™t know time zones. Would make sense if they had NTP set correctly and events flowing in werenโ€™t delayed because of dodgy network links.
@geerlingguy these folks need to learn about Fluorinert.
