Not everyone is running systemd.

@martijnbraam it was long time ago but in GTK2 you are not allowed to update controls from the GUI thread. Hope this helps.

@nextcloud I am very excited when desktop application stops working without notice. The application became so bad that I plan to switch to syncthing. Exciting times!
