Look here, y'all. I, for one, am extremely upset that Joe Biden caused a runway collision at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
@cbarbermd As an American who wishes strongly for more bike lanes in town, I laughed at this video.

Just how massive can a star get? Pretty danged massive... but it depends on when you look. A thing I wrote for Scientiifc American, just like I do every Friday!

What’s the most massive star in the universe?

Just how big can a star become? The answer depends on when in cosmic history you’re asking the question

Happy Equinox to all who recognise the existence of recurring astronomical events!

Really happy with how the trigonometry page shaped up. I had a lot of fun building it.

Top story: “Long term, it’s going to set a lot of precedent that pushes the law away from environmental protection, which will either lead to more-harmful outcomes for the environment, broadly speaking, or will necessitate the development of new legal and policy approaches.”

daylight savings is stupid
@Viss Thank you. It is an empirical truth that daylight savings is stupid - supposing you consider statistics on mortality or morbidity as valid evidence. Anecdotally, as a parent and employed person, I hate daylight savings with a passion. Rising with the dawn is nice. Rising one or two hours before the dawn is disagreeable. Getting children to go along with this is downright painful.
