[Draft] Proposed rules of thumb for content warning usage:
Take it upon yourself to use them in proportion to your privilege (more CWs with more privilege).
Don't expect others to use them out of proportion to their own privilege (marginalized people didn't ask to have their daily lives disproportionately politicized).
Err on the side of caution since people can't unsee triggering content.
Always CW spoilers (that's just polite).
These are personal rules, not community rules.

Marginalized groups (particularly women and older people) are assumed tech-illiterate by default: More intuitive interfaces reduce the very real man-splaining burden inflicted on them while also reducing the strength of the frequency illusion that otherwise reinforces such negative stereotypes.
