My work requires us (for complicated reasons) to take a week of vacation for the week of July 4th. I'm tempted to take a trip up to Canada this year just to be contrary.
Probably still wouldn't be able to escape the fireworks, though.
I kind of want to write a health/medicine tracking app myself, since nothing out there does what I want.
But then again, the thought of reinstalling XCode and re-learning Swift is physically tiring. And that's not even getting in to the privacy concerns if I ever wanted to publish it. And so on.

One of my computer science professors back in college was also a part-time beekeeper.
So I guess he must've been really good at working with API-calls. š
Way back in my high school drafting class, I made a mock package design for "Gehn's Golden Beetle Ink". Because I was that nerdy about Myst even then.
Which is to say, beetle.ink is really tempting too.
