@stolas Yes, but part of executive dysfunction (or even simple "distracted tooting") is that I likely won't think to take such precautions. That, and toots often growing larger than anticipated.
Pushing UX fixes onto users is sub-optimal (particularly for other users with accessibility issues), especially when a "Are you sure you want to delete this draft?" dialog box would largely prevent this.

Marginalized groups (particularly women and older people) are assumed tech-illiterate by default: More intuitive interfaces reduce the very real man-splaining burden inflicted on them while also reducing the strength of the frequency illusion that otherwise reinforces such negative stereotypes.
