معاون #هلال‌احمر_افغانی به منظور ارتقای ظرفیت رضاکاران با مسؤول صلیب سرخ #دنمارک دیدار کرد

محترم حافظ عزیزالرحمن، معاون هلال‌احمر افغانی، با آقای یعقوب، مشاور توسعه جمعیت‌های ملی صلیب سرخ دنمارک، در مورد ارتقای ظرفیت #رضاکاران، برنامه‌های آموزشی و تقویت جمعیت‌های ملی دیدار کرد.

در این دیدار، حافظ عزیزالرحمن، رضاکاران را بخش مهم قوای بشری هلال‌احمر افغانی دانست و افزود که رضاکاران در رساندن کمک‌ها در مواقع #حوادث_طبیعی، اجرای عملیات نجات و ارائه خدمات بشردوستانه نقش مهم دارند.

مشاور صلیب سرخ دنمارک نیز نقش رضاکاران را در فعالیت‌های هلال‌احمر افغانی مهم توصیف کرد و اطمینان داد که در آینده نزدیک یک برنامه آموزشی برای ارتقای ظرفیت رضاکاران آغاز خواهد شد و همکاری‌های تخنیکی و مسلکی لازم برای تقویت توانمندی‌های آنان ادامه خواهد یافت.

Hafiz Azizur Rahman, Vice President of ARCS, met with Mr. Yaqoub, Advisor for National Society Development at the Danish Red Cross, at the center headquarters to discuss #volunteer capacity building, training programs, and the strengthening of the National Society.

During the meeting, Mr. Azizur Rahman emphasized that volunteers are a vital part of ARCS’s human resources and highlighted their essential role in delivering assistance, conducting rescue operations, and providing humanitarian services during natural disasters.

The Danish Red Cross advisor underscored the important role of volunteers in ARCS activities and assured that a training program focused on volunteer capacity building will be launched in the near future. He further pledged continued technical and professional cooperation to enhance the skills and capabilities of ARCS volunteers.

Brand new book, The Best Solution to Hunger In America: How to Set Up and Run an All-Volunteer, Community Food Rescue Organization, written by the founders of local Marin County nonprofit Respecting Our Elders. One of my gigs is helping a disabled woman get food from this org, which picks up from Safeway, Whole Foods, restaurants like McDonalds -- there's so much good fucking food that would otherwise go into landfill (creating methane, which is a way more potent greenhouse gas than CO2). I've had this gig for 2 years and I'm still amazed at how much delicious food (often organic, Fair Trade, vegan, etc) these places get rid of every fucking day.

Loved doing a corporate #volunteer day with Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter today ❤️ It’s great that our company give us 2 days a year where we can do this in work time, and help give back. We loved helping them with all the jobs that need done (cleaning, tidying, painting, furniture) and meeting all the #animals.
