Two views today, each rather different but both requiring control.

Lots of fun at the back of the orchestra today with a 'pops' family christmas concert.

There's something very special about playing drum kit with a full orchestra!

As a nation, the Brits are meant to be great at making tea.
Why and when did this utter nonsense become standard practice?
Delivering me a teabag and a pot of hot water is not providing tea.
The water is no longer hot enough to sufficiently steep a teabag. I now have warm stew, not tea.

Stop it.

My perspective on life is always brighter after an hour behind the drum kit of ridiculousness.

Drums should be available on prescription.

Happy wildlife in the garden :)

If you ever have cause to question subsidised arts, take a look at this.

Top end orchestra, playing the proms later this week, playing to thousands of passersby and getting young kids up to have a go at conducting.

And a Black Sabbath tribute too!

This stuff makes a place.

Some of our neighbourhood grow the devil's cabbage.
We seem to have grown the devil's courgette.

Bicycles are great.
Today we cycled from Brum to Alvechurch and back, about 33 miles all told, on a mix of road, canal towpath, and park tracks.

We saw ducks, butterflys, birds, geese, swans, moorhens, trees, flowers.
We'd not have seen half the things if we'd gone by car.

Went away. Camped. Saw birds. Ate food.
Would recommend.

Went outside. Saw cows. Ate an icecream (a perilous activity for a beardy man!).
Now home and full of roast dinner.

Top day.
Would recommend.
