Pauliina LievonenAgreed to fill in in a community orchestra nearby for a concert end of May. I’m glad they’re not doing this movement in pro-orchestra tempo because it’s brutal enough to practise as it is.
Combining playing bassoon and singing in the same day is somewhat challenging it turns out. For singing my face, tongue and throat have to as free as possible. Bassoon playing tends to cause all kinds of little tensions to creep in.

Had a blast with the kid at possibly the best Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra event I’ve seen in years. Coincidentally, I got to see some old friends I hadn’t seen in years.
In case the image doesn’t make it clear, they displayed the film while playing the score live. It made for an unforgettable viewing of a movie I’ve seen dozens of times.
I also got the inside scoop on next year’s film score. 🤐😄

All of a sudden, I saw the American Indian and the sky as the same people. It taught me something about religion, race, wealth, poverty, commerce. I said: 'Oh, I'm going to go over to the other side.
