@ward That’s a good level. In my experience the solution 1/100 is good enough most of the time if it works. 2/100 is usually better, and sometimes worth doing. But if you ever reimplement something more than that, you’re overpolishing/overengineering things, and might actually end up with a worse solution than number 1 or 2 would have been.

Heart is universally known symbol for liking. And there is already a bookmark icon. The star/favorite overlaps with the idea of bookmarking. It’s just the same thing for most people. So #mastodondevs have a little heart and make the effort to change it.
After my #Xit and leaving my beloved #twitter behind, I think the biggest issue with #mastodon is the Star/Favorite icon. It absolutely needs to be a Heart/Like! This is the only way this platform will ever gain popularity. So, make the change now! ❤️ #mastodonheart #heartforlikes
