Today J.D. and I closed on the purchase of a 1927 Wiley G Clarkson Med-Rev house at 2749 6th Ave at Cantey St. It is in our same Ryan Place neighborhood about 1500 ft from our current house of 20 years.

It will be our first house in our 31 years together that is not a 1921 bungalow with a huge wrap-around porch. But we finally get that pool and garage.

We’ll soon embark on extensive redos of the pool (making it all volleyball depth) and surrounding hardscaping, as well as the kitchen, the 750+ ft garage apartment, and garage.

Once we get our things out of our current home (https://atlas.thc.state.tx.us/Details/5439003035) at 2420 S Adams, we’ll start some work on it, getting it ready to sell in early 2025, concurrently with our adjoining 75’x140’ empty lot at 2012 S Adams. We’ll also soon put up for sale the house across the street we own at 2417 S. Adams.
