Yesterday on my weekly ham making sesh, I took a portion that didn't fit the deli press, divided it in two and flattened them to make these panko chicken-like seitan steaks. It is similar to the Austrian Schnitzel, but Portuguese inspired.
Both my partner and I approved it! π₯³

A variation inspired by Watson's (Thee Burger Dude) recipe.
I've been making them lately (first it was his recipe and after with variants) and it's safe to say I won't be buying any store ham again π€

It's tasty, has a good texture, and is very versatile! I use it for tuna salad, tuna pasta, tuna sandwiches, tuna spread, and whatever other things I can think of. The sky is the limit! π€£
