@mike I'm at the beginning of Capital (about 100 pages in) and also am reading Mike Davis's book on Marx. Don't know what the IMT is. Can you give me the short version?

@racebannon Capitalism is the monster. They are just a few warts on capitalism's nose.

@Anaximander @breadandcircuses Socialists are not driven by the profit motive, so companies don't pillage to please shareholders. Ideally, the economy could be democratically planned. All humans use natural resources, but socialism allows for efficiency, equity and democracy. Long term planning can take into account natural limits and best practices.
