An update on the print photography. I switched to using a Canon EOS M, outputting the images in RAW format and feeding them into Lightroom. I built the color profile by converting one base images to DNG and putting it into ColorChecker (but this only needs to be done once).
The final result is MUCH better than before. The color feels much closer to reality, whereas before it was a much yellower tone. It's not quite as simple as I hoped for but I'm happy with the result. Before/after below.
Got a copy of the board game Gloomhaven in the mail last night, bought a used copy off of a seller on BoardGameGeek.com. For folks that haven't played it before (I've only played the standalone Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion, which I loved), it's sort of like a board game version of D&D combat, but more predictable, fun to get into, and lots of good strategy (with no DM required). Based upon the number of friends who've sunk hundreds of hours into the game, I can't wait to play it!
Paprika App is currently having their annual Black Friday sale - their apps are 40-50% off. I can't recommend this app enough, I use it for all of my recipe organization, meal planning, and grocery shopping, it's phenomenal! It has built-in syncing so I can keep it up-to-date on all my devices, and even while shopping. If you cook/grocery shop a lot this really is a must-have.
