Remember, it's more important to know your characters deeply in story-relevant ways than to know every random fact about them.

Unless their eye colour, favourite dessert, or first car is relevant to the story OR needed by you to make them feel real, it doesn't matter.

Don't make character sketches that are 10 miles wide and one inch deep.
