One of my more notable Hugo achievements was being the guy who pointed out Fred Pohl's blog was eligible for a Best Fan writer Hugo. Pohl's history in fandom includes (among a lot of other things) getting kicked out of the first WorldCon, so no question he was a legit fan.

Of course, I didn't know _I_ would be nominated for the same award that year. It was, uh, not a close race between and the Mr Rogers of SF...
