@cschack @euractiv Indeed. I heard the Vatican even maintains ties with US and Israeli-linked institutions!

You'll likely catch this image a million times in your various feeds: Earth as seen by Reid Wiseman from Artemis II en-route to the Moon.

My first thought? That's *really* noisy 🧐

But then I realised – it's the *nightside* of Earth, illuminated by the almost full Moon, not the Sun 🌕

The bright limb at lower-right is where the dayside starts, & the fact that you can see aurorae, airglow, & cities in Europe, Africa, & S & N America also gives the game away.

Cool.

@ChrisMayLA6 And “Make America Great Again” has been pursued, not by making America greater, but by belittling others. #uspol
@ChrisMayLA6 Trump’s policy of “America First” has not been pursued by boosting the economy in the US but rather by slowing the economy elsewhere. Everyone suffers, but the Americans less. #uspol
@alderik A bigger source of friction than the threat to invade the territory of an EU member state? Or than the unilateral imposition of 15% tariffs on all goods coming from the EU? Or than saying that the EU was created to “screw” the US? The biggest source of friction between the EU and US at the moment is the US administration.

Reminder that Trump has, since returning to office, committed a grand total of zero new dollars in military aid to Ukraine (the tiny amount at the start of 2025 was agreed under the Biden administration). www.kielinstitut.de/topics/war-a...
@ChrisMayLA6 almost every job I've ever had required me to learn new specialist software. It's just a standard facet of modern work.

So expecting people to learn things like LibreOffice or Vivaldi or whatever really isn't that big a deal. Moving to a user-friendly Linux isn't a bigger jump than moving between major versions of Windows.

The biggest barrier is fear and attitude.
Illustration of the fact that the USA contributes absolutely nothing to Ukraine anymore.

@lascapi This is great, but currently only available in Latvia, right?
