Why is Microsoft Teams so bad?

2/2 So I am looking for advice from anyone who is into e-sports or runs an e-sports programs as to where to start and how to get the kids into games that aren't their first pick.

1/2 Okay Mastodon, I'm a computer science teacher. I've been asked to run an e-sports program at my school. The problem is that I am not much of a gamer. Like, I play Elden Ring, and CIv6, maybe CK2 sometimes, so basically not what my students are into. Moreover, the kids seem to have minimal enthusiasm for some of the big e-sports games: League of Legends, Rocket League, etc.

The kids are still heavily into Fortnite and Call of Duty, but the district doesn't allow shooting games.
